Meet Ellen Angelico

BIO

Ellen is an in-demand session musician and can currently be seen in the touring band of country artist Cam. The Nashville Scene calls Ellen an “ace of all things stringed” and “one of the greatest utility players in Nashville.” She plays guitar, bass, pedal steel, mandolin, banjo, dobro, keys, and trombone everywhere from the Grand Ole Opry to Guam.

When she is not backing up a variety of talented acts (Cam, Mickey Guyton, Brandy Clark, Uncle Kracker, Delta Rae, Ty Herndon, Adeem the Artist, Kree Harrison, and many others) Ellen can be found at legendary Nashville guitar store Fanny’s House of Music fixing guitars, updating the website, and penning a quarterly column for Premier Guitar. Under the moniker Uncle Ellen, she releases original music once in a blue moon.

Since January 2021, Ellen has proudly served Nashville as a Commissioner on the Metro Nashville Arts Commission. She regularly volunteers with organizations like Please Vote Nashville, Senior Ride Nashville, and Root Nashville. Ellen lives in beautiful Madison, Tennessee, with her partner Rachel and their beloved dog Tambourine. She hopes to leave Nashville and the music industry better than she received it.
