There’s a moment when it all locks in.
The player stops thinking. The hands respond without effort. The sound leaves the amplifier and lands exactly where it should—in the room, in the band, and in the listener.
That moment is the reason this company exists. Because players experience response, not specifications. And when the connection is right, everything else follows.
Amplifiers have become more convenient. More flexible. More feature-rich.
Yet for many players, the experience became less immediate. Less connected. Less alive.
The industry became increasingly focused on specifications, features, and isolated tones. We became interested in something else entirely.
How does the amplifier respond? What happens when the player digs in? How does it behave in a real room, at a real volume, with a real band?
Those questions became the foundation of everything we build.
3rd Power was never about chasing a single sound.
It was about understanding the language of electric guitar—and creating instruments that can move between its most important voices without losing the player.
There are three primary voices of electric guitar.
American — wide, open, dynamic
British Chime — harmonic, elastic, alive
British Crunch — forward, aggressive, authoritative
Most designs commit to one.
We build the bridge between them.
Not as a feature. As a foundation.
An amplifier is only one part of a larger instrument.
Pickups influence response. Speakers influence feel. Cabinets influence projection. Rooms influence perception.
Players react to all of it—often without realizing it.
Most products are designed as individual components.
We design for the interaction between them.
Because the player’s experience is shaped by the complete system—not any single piece of it.
Specifications can describe a product.
They cannot describe confidence. Touch. Timing. Or the moment a player forgets about the equipment entirely and focuses only on the music.
That experience is what we design for.
The amplifier should disappear.
The connection should remain.
The pursuit of connection has led to patented technologies, original pickup designs, multi-voice amplifier platforms, and speaker systems developed to behave differently in real-world environments.
HybridMASTER™. Venue Mode. MagFRAG™. Platform-based amplifier architecture. Cabinet designs engineered around response, projection, and feel.
Different products. Different technologies. The same objective.
Preserve the connection between the player and the music.
More control without sacrificing feel.
More usable volume. More expressive dynamics. More consistency from room to room.
More confidence when the moment arrives.
Because the goal was never to build amplifiers.
The goal was always to help musicians hear more, feel more, and express more of what they intended to play.
The connection is what we’ve been building all along.
3rd Power began with a simple observation:
great amplifiers often sound incredible in isolation, yet become difficult to control in the environments where musicians actually perform.
For more than two decades, I’ve studied the relationship between player, pickup, amplifier, speaker, and room. That work led to multiple patents, new approaches to volume management, and a design philosophy centered on preserving connection throughout the entire system.
Every amplifier, pickup, and cabinet we build is guided by the same objective:
help the player hear more, feel more, and express more of what they intended to play.
Thank you for spending time with our work.
