DREAM SERIES 412 WET/DRY/WET

Triangular Port
W/D/W Diagram

The design goal for the DS412 was to capture the enormous spirit and sonic footprint of a full-on wet/dry/wet rig while packing it into a single streamlined enclosure. Well, we nailed it.

Patented Design
Crafted from 5/8″ birch, the DS412 features embedded triangular speaker chambers to eliminate standing waves and internal reflections. With construction features including isolated speaker chambers (one open, three closed) and a tuned triangle port, the DS412 delivers your full frequency response with a detail and punch that sounds more like a mastered record and won’t get lost in the mix.

W/D/W, Mono, Stereo, X-pattern, 4 Channel Operating Modes
X-pattern operation is totally possible. Each speaker is addressable individually, as a 412, as two separate 212s (vertical or horizontal), or in the wet/dry/wet configuration.

Suggested Wet/Dry/Wet rig setup: Your dry head runs the bottom two speakers as a mono 212. Your main amp will drive the stereo FX processor. The stereo wet output from your processor will feed a stereo power amp (not included). The power amp drives the top two speakers in stereo for you wet effects sound.

I recommend the dry signal be placed on the bottom as it keeps the sonic blast from blowing into the lead or BG vox on stage. Low end coupling from the stage/studio floor is usually a benefit as well. Effects are spatial enhancement and they’re going to be more effective positioned higher. Stereo spread will be more noticeable as well.

Patch-bay Configurations

On amp two, again using the 2x 8 ohm jacks, plug each one into jacks #3 and #5. In essence, you’re addressing the separate speaker chambers as if they were individual cabinets.
